Facebook Updates

How many facebook updates do you think read:

Chillin' out, maxin' relaxin' - shooting some b-ball outside the school

?

It just seems like a great "what are you doing" update thing. And then everyone could respond w/ lyrics or their fave episode of Fresh Prince or whatever.

Do you think people send each other letters (or probably emails) in all windings as a "secret code"?

Does Google Translate work on windings?

This share button on the google tool bar is rad.

I would love if they would make the google toolbar available on google chrome.

Harry Potter

How many people do you think have named their kids after characters in the Harry Potter books? Is there some data place out there that keeps track? Is anyone now named Albus? What about Draco? Severus?

Story Songs

I'm listening to story songs today - like Harper Valley PTA and Ode to Billie Joe.
I have been reading the lyrics on the interent as well.
I can read the lyrics pretty quickly.

Why is it that I can read the lyrics so quickly but when I read a book it seems to take longer?

And by that I mean - when you listen to a book on tape it seems to go faster than if you actually read the book yet the lyrics (poetry?) reads so quickly.

I suppose in the recording of the song they have intro and bridges and measures of music and in the book on tape its more straight forward.

Whatever. Or is it becuase book on tape you listen to continuously (sp?) on a road trip and when you read it may take 3 weeks b/c you read a chapter here or there?

So many possibilities.

Rodeo

Stop the press. It's Burt Bacharach time!

Why is Rodeo Drive pronounced like Row Day O when rodeo's w/ clowns and horses and bull riding is pronounced row dee o?

What is that all about?

Is Rodeo Drive missing a tilde (sp?)? And how do you do the tilde thing anyway?
