MONSTER BAG!!!!

I finished my monster bag. I love it! I gave him boob eyes by accident. The circles I knit sort of bubbled up when I sewed them on so I stuffed them and now he is super three dimensional. SUPER CUTE!!!!

I also finished a purple scarf for my Aunt. And ET was kind enough to model it for me! How sweet is he?

Flight of the Conchords. Whoo Hoo.

I just got home from the Old 97's show at Crash Mansion. AWESOME!
It was hot. Everyone was happy. It was happy hot. GREAT SHOW. Great Energy. Both opening bands were enjoyable. Old 97's rocked my socks off. Fantastic.

While I was there I was working on my Disco Monster. He is coming along nicely.
I also had all these great thoughts and now I'm thinking it would be cool if I had an implant in my ear / jaw like Ender in the Ender Series so he can talk to Jane - only mine would be a dictaphone (unless a computer being wants to talk to me and take dictation) then I could sub vocalize my ideas and post them on the blog. I was thinking about why Muray's hair is gray (some kid/man mentioned he thinks Murray looks older every time he sees him) and Dr Who - not that the two are connected - but that is what I remember thinking about. And something else, but I don't remember b/c on the way home I was all smiley and content and forgot.

Needlepoint wallet I'm working on

If I needlepoint over what I have already needlepointed will that ruin things? I can see the paint that came on the plastic grid inbetween my stitches and its driving me nuts.

HOORAY!!!

My new glasses arrived. Above is a link. I have gotten lots of nice compliments and I can see so much better. Its so exciting. They feel different and my perscription is way stronger. I feel like I'm going to trip over the invisible step. This is so exciting!

Poop Pants

I almost pooped my pants at Bev Mo. I went in to buy a giant bottle of crown royal & saw they were having a sale on sour mix - 2 for the price of 1 (or one regualr price, the 2nd 5 cents). So I grabbed two. At the check out dude was pointing at the Crown Royal & said "Do you want to go get another for 5 cents" and I almost pooped my pants. A giant Crown Royal bottle. Alas, he was yanking my chain. Oh well. It was funny. Kudos to Bev Mo for funny teller guy and cheap booze.

My current mission - to find needlepoint kits so I can make a wallet b/c my yellow coca cola wallet is from when I was 10 and is getting dirty and sad. I know I will find the kit and I'm looking forward to needlepointing my new wallet.

Broken Work Bathroom

The entire bathroom isn’t broken. Just the stall farthest from the door – the stall door doesn’t like to stay shut anymore. It looks like someone lost their balance & fell into the stall wall and the ceiling bracket / brace came loose and shifted the lock so now the farthest stall doesn’t like to stay shut and the middle stall is hard to shut. I think it just needs a tune up. I keep picturing some poor woman who just falls over after standing up and the whole wall moving & the sheer terror, like "OH NO! I BROKE THE BATHROOM! I better wash my hands and go. They'll never know it was me..."

They also rock to What Made Milwaukee Famous with their ipods. My, when Robots rule the world it isn't going to be much different, just more plastic and I think they will start making things smaller b/c really, things don't need to be that big when you are only 16 inches tall.



My latest project:
Recycled Plastic bag yarn. Above is the picture of all the yarn strung together. Below is the "finished" project. I wound that big, shaggy mess into a ball. Now I get to knit a bag with it. HOORAY!

My guess is the ball is about as big as my head. The size doesn't seem so noticeable in the picture, but it was big. Big like the pound of yarn I wound into a ball.

Just in case you were wondering about my take on petrified fetus - its that they are gross. Natural, yet gross. Just like tumors.

Time Travel

Do you think Time Travel is possible?

I'm torn b/c I love sci fi where it is part of the story. Then I start thinking about time travel & if you go back & change the thing that makes you go back then, do you ever go back & if you don't doesn't the original thing happen? And if you can't change the past then why does everyone think they can. And if you accidently leave someone in the future and go back to the present and change things so the future is different what happens to them? Are they trapped in an alternate reality or does reality just change for them so they are all "what is going on? Yesterday I was in jail and now I'm at the zoo...."

And, if it is possible, do you think people are time traveling right now? Maybe not from our time but from the future. Maybe, if there is over population people travel back in time & live now. Only that wouldn't help the overpopulation problem in the future. Anyway, if there is time travel & over population they can set up a colony on the moon or in space somewhere. If we can time travel we better be able to space travel.

I want to go into space. SPACE!!!

Robots & Blanket

It turns out the robots were WAY bigger than I anticipated. They didn't fit in a box I wanted to put in the suitcase (or the box didn't fit in the suitcase, I suppose). So I had to make do. I tried to pack them as carry ons in a duffel bag deal but only one really fit & I had 4 to transport to MN. So I ended up taking paper boxes from work, smooshing their heads down and sort of smoshing them in the saddest way. Luckily they all made it safely and were a big hit with the receipients and random people who saw me walking around with robots.



And here are 3 pictures of the baby blanket I started a while back at the What Made Milwaukee Famous shows. I'm loving it. I want to make one for myself and put the bands name and other band names in it. I want to put one letter per each weave. So I would just have, basically, a huge, knit list of my favorite bands. HOORAY!!!! Pound of yarn at Michaels - get ready. I'm on my way!!!
